Consider allowing hyphens in table name prefixes (SQL Server)

Hi -

Our SQL Server target table prefixes are based on our project codes and names, like:

201-8080-01-Zambia-ABC ...

Since Skyvia does not allow hyphens in the prefixes (and for us underscores are reserved for another purpose, so we cannot use them here), those become much less readable table names:

201808001ZambiaABC

And those table names are the source for other names in our system, so eventually they will appear on web dashboard pages like that.

It would be great if you would consider allowing hyphens in table prefixes for target databases.

Thanks.

- Dominic

Hi -

Just wondering if there's any update on this possibility. Also, should we close this ticket out and open a ticket on the new portal?

Thanks.

Hi Dominic,

Thanks for your time and patience on this request

Please be informed that we found a possibility allowing hyphens in table name prefixes (for SQL Server). But this changes still need to be tested. Once we have the result from our testing team and confirmation that it's working, we will inform you in this thread.

We are still responding to the old requests here, however, for the new requests please use our new portal

Best regards,

Serhii
